Changes on the UKCA (UK Conformity Assessment) system
Easier adaptation to the introduction of UKCAIMCI (UK) in Liverpool, a spin-off from IMCI in Brussels has the pleasure to inform you, that the UK has published on 20 June 2022 some changes on the UKCA (UK Conformity Assessment) system to help all businesses adapt to the introduction of UKCA.
The UKCA system will come into force on 1 January 2023 and will replace the European Union CE marking in the UK.
The changes will make it simpler for businesses to apply new product conformity markings for all products covered by the Recreational Craft Regulation placed on the market in England, Scotland and Wales. Please find here the statement made by Mr Paul Scully (Minister for London and Parliamentary Under Secretary of State).
Uli Heinemann, Managing Director of IMCI and Secretary of IMCI (UK) says: "This should significantly reduce the stress of the transition from CE to UKCA."
